Mark Palmer

Mark is a well respected and effective change leader within Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) with a strong track record of delivery. Project highlights range from the formation and expansion of offshore processing centres to the design and implementation of complex command and control structures to support the Group’s key integration activities following the acquisition of HBOS in 2009.

Since 2014 Mark has been one of the Independent Assurance Leads within the Group’s Independent Review team, providing assurance support to the Group's major change programmes, along with driving a cultural change towards a learning organisation.

Over the course of the last two years Mark has been engaged in the delivery of an expanding assurance operating model to provide increased insight and value in support of the Group’s ambitious transformation plans.

In addition Mark is an active member of the APM Assurance SIG and was a co-author of the ‘Guide to Agile Assurance’ handbook.

Mark’s presentation will provide further insight into the value focused Assurance operating model in place at Lloyds Banking Group, detailing the journey the Group has taken since his last conference presentation in  2016.
