The Association for Project Management (APM) has today announced that it has updated its evidence requirements to provide more clarity and structure for applicants looking to achieve Fellowship status.

The update will aid applicants in demonstrating their experience and the contribution they have made to the profession, against clearly defined criteria.

The positioning of the Fellowship standard and level remains the same as it continues to recognise those who have made a significant contribution to the profession as a practitioner, teacher or researcher.

Updated guidance documents will be made available for applicants from today (26 June) and applicants under the current standard have until the 31st July 2019 to submit their application. This follows the revision to Full member status (MAPM) in Spring 2019, part of a wider initiative to create clearer career paths for project managers.

Fellowship applicants hold a minimum of ten years' experience and today's update sets clearly defined requirements to support them in selecting the most appropriate details to include that evidence their experience and their contribution to the profession.

Those who achieve Fellowship of APM are entitled to use the highly regarded postnominals, FAPM.

Across industry these are representative of individuals who have worked to not only develop themselves but are now giving back to the profession through the sharing of knowledge or the development of others.

In line with this status, Fellows also receive access to APM’s Leadership Forums and APM’s Leadership Newsletter.

For more information about the changes to the Fellowship application requirements please view our Fellowship page.
