Spotlight on the Vyrnwy Aqueduct Modernisation Programme and the challenges facing a large project within Cheshire. This webinar was held on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
The Vyrnwy Aqueduct Modernisation Programme is one of United Utilities largest projects focused on the modernisation of three 42” aqueducts that carry clean drinking water across the North West.
This webinar covered the Vyrnwy project and an insight into the project challenges that face a live project within the Cheshire area.

Katie graduated with a Master’s degree in Construction Project Management in 2018 from Liverpool John Moores University and started on the JACOBS Ltd engineering graduate programme in June 2018 as a graduate project manager within water. In her years at Jacobs she was seconded into United Utilities where she successfully worked on the delivery of many high profile and complex projects. Since 2022 she has transitioned to United Utilities as a member of staff. She has worked diligently across multiple areas of the clients business with a recent focus on clean water within the special programme. This programme has covered various projects that range from mains refurbishment within contaminated land to lining and cleaning aqueducts that supply the Merseyside region with clean drinking water. Katie has worked on projects ranging from several million up to £200 million in value and is currently the Project Manager for Siphon 2 on the Vyrnwy Aqueduct Modernisation Programme with spans from 2020 to 2028.
