North East branch hosts summer BBQ
On Thursday 17th August at 18:00 the North East Branch hosted their Summer BBQ to thank North East based APM members for their continued support and involvement. The event was well attended and there was a lot of intermingling, networking and relaxation.
Guests made their way to the BBQ themed event which was hosted at Nancy’s Bordello on the East side of Newcastle in between the famous quayside and the cultural Ouseburne. Guests were welcomed with soft drinks on a fairly warm summers afternoon.
The event was kicked off with an introductory speech from Oliver Randall, North East APM branch chair, and there was focus on the upcoming events:
28th September at the Assembly Rooms in Newcastle: The Masaii Masterclass ,
19th October at Tyneside Cinema: Conflict Management
The North East have also recently set up a new APMNorthEast Twitter account, and a request for all North East APM supporters to follow and get involved as a lot of North East APM information and images of events will be distributed via the account, so there was general encouragement to get involved with the new account.
It was also highlighted that the APM North East team are always on the look out for volunteers and if anyone is willing to get involved please let them know via the email address for all APM North East activity chairman@apm-northeast.org.uk It was reaffirmed that without the input of everyone involved in the APM North East events the right notes won’t be hit so a big request was reiterated not only get involved on social media and elsewhere but also complete the feedback forms after events.
After a fairly APM North East focussed introduction the guests were invited to visit the BBQ themed buffet with mini burgers, skewers and various tasty treats that Nancy’s Bordello had clearly spent time and effort in creating, as there were a lot of full plates of food! The evening concluded with a lot of new connections been made and a great platform for future North East APM activity.
