Association for Project Management (APM) has welcomed four newly elected members to its board of trustees, following the highest voter turnout for a board election in the association’s history.

The board plays a vital role in overseeing the direction and development of APM as it adapts, acts and advocates for the project profession. New members are elected annually, voted for by APM members with Full or Fellow grade membership.

The board consists of up to 9 elected trustees (who must be APM members) and up to three appointed trustees to ensure diversity of thought and the right mix of skills and experience.

The newly elected members join APM at a time of record membership and revenues, and as the association celebrates its first full year of awarding Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status.

The new board members are:

Amy MorleyAmy Morley, ChPP, elected for a three-year term. Amy is currently the project management office director at HS2, with responsibility for setting enterprise-wide standards for project control and project management.

Mike WallaceMike Wallace, ChPP, elected for a three-year term. Mike works for PA Consulting in their PPM practice. He has used strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive business change throughout his career.

Milla MaziluMilla Mazilu, re-elected for a three-year term. Milla has been a board member of APM since 2016 and a volunteer on the association’s Planning, Monitoring and Control (PMC) Specific Interest Group (SIG) since 2014.

Stuart ForsythStuart Forsyth, elected for a two-year term. Stuart has worked with BAE Systems for 32 years, holding numerous senior leadership positions. His experience helps him provide a strategic, yet practical, perspective to help influence the evolution of the project profession.

John McGlynn, APM chair, said: “With a record turnout and the highest ever number of votes, the Board is delighted to see the continued high levels of interest our members have in electing new trustees.

The Board is very grateful to those trustees who stand down at this election for their service to APM and we welcome our new trustees in the next phase of APM’s development”

APM members who have any questions regarding the board election are invited to contact Mike Robinson, company secretary.
