As a leader in the project profession, the Association for Project Management pursues its ongoing commitment to provide members with opportunities to learn and develop their understanding of project management. That’s why we have established an exciting digital learning platform, APM Learning.

Launched on 24 April 2019, APM Learning is a new channel of resources for fee paying individual members to support themselves in maintaining and expanding their knowledge and skills. It hosts a range of key project management topics that are categorised in line with the APM Body of Knowledge and are quality assured and approved by APM.

Crucially, the recent APM Golden Thread research with PwC, highlighted the importance and growth of good project management but also found that a third of organisations saw skills and capability shortages as a potential barrier. We found that 32 per cent of the businesses surveyed in the research expressed that access to enough people with the right project management skills in the UK was a challenge.

The future of project management inevitably requires a diverse and flexible skill set ranging from the traditional business skills to the technical and digital skills. APM Learning is a tool that allows members to do just this – you can learn and improve various skills through a series of interactive learning modules, and access general resources like templates and checklists, and downloadable APM content. New topics are going to be added regularly so that we can help you keep your skills up to date and stay on top of this evolving profession.

Members can access APM Learning from a dedicated page after logging into the APM website from their desktop for a quiet evening of learning at home, or via mobile on the train to work. Activities can be bookmarked and picked up where you left off so it’s easy to work at your own pace.

From those starting out in project management to the experienced professionals, APM’s digital learning platform supports those looking to improve their project management skills which are so rapidly changing and evolving. It will be available to fee paying individual members and Honorary Fellows and will provide access to digital versions of SIG guides and other digital learning resources as part of their membership benefit.
