APM is pleased to announce Michael Moore, Senior Adviser for PwC and former cabinet minister, will be opening the 2018 APM Project Management Conference Scotland supported by 20|20 Business Insight.

Respected throughout industry, Michael served in the coalition cabinet as secretary of state for Scotland and also spent time as European business adviser to the deputy prime minister. He now works with clients on the strategic implications of Brexit and other political issues.

At the APM Scottish Conference, which this year takes place on Thursday 22 March at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Michael joins representatives from organisations including BAE Systems Naval Ships, Dounreay Site Restoration, Diageo and Skills Development Scotland.

With 2018 being the 'Year of the Young Person', an initiative set up by the Scottish Government, the conference focuses on providing insight and networking opportunities for those new to the profession, as well as giving those charged with leading teams, developing apprentices and mentoring those new to the profession.

To achieve this, the conference will focus on two streams:

Career Development, taking charge: Aimed at young people, apprentices, students and those new to the profession. This stream will include speakers from Skills Development Scotland, BAE and Lloyds Banking Group.

Shaping the next generation: Aimed at industry leaders who place development of young people high on their agenda. This stream will include speakers from Dounreay and Diageo.

To ensure the event is accessible to all, APM is offering organisations and HEIs the opportunity to bring apprentices or students for £10 each when booked in groups of ten or more and in addition to one full price delegate ticket (Terms and Conditions apply).
