Debbie is director of strategic architecture programmes at BT, managing a portfolio of large scale complex programmes that underpin BT’s network and IT architectural ambitions. She will fulfil the role of board chair for a two-year term.
Milla Mazilu has been elected as second deputy chair, alongside incumbent Alistair Godbold, who will continue in that role. Milla Mazilu will serve a one-year term as deputy chair.
Current chair John McGlynn was elected as a trustee in 2014 and as chair in 2016. He was pleased to accept an invitation by the Board to remain in post until APM’s September 2020 board meeting, at which point he will formally hand over to Debbie Lewis.
Commenting on the appointment, Debbie Lewis said: “I am delighted to take on the role of board chair for APM and I look forward to working with my fellow trustees in this new capacity from September. This appointment is a tremendous honour and I am excited to be able to play a leading role in helping APM continue to advance the art, science, theory and practice of project management. “I would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to outgoing chair John McGlynn, whose dedication in this role has helped APM go from strength to strength.”
