The Association for Project Management (APM) wouldn’t be where it is today without the support and commitment of its volunteer community.

For nearly 50 years the Association has grown from strength-to-strength with many of its successes attributed to the drive and determination from individuals who often in addition to full on roles across our profession give up their free time to support their professional body.

To recognise this hard work, APM has launched the APM Volunteers Outstanding Achievement Award as a way of celebrating the achievement, impact and dedications of an individual who has provided an extraordinary contribution to APM or demonstrable contribution to the effectiveness of a volunteer team or project over a period of time.

Commenting on the launch of the Award APM volunteers manager Anna Grabham said:

“Our volunteers play a pivotal role in not only promoting and supporting APM, but also championing and developing our profession and it is vital this is recognised.

Having worked with volunteers for many years I know just how much effort they put into our events and publications, sharing their knowledge and expertise, as well as promoting the profession and membership of APM. I am always left astounded at the commitment we receive from a wide range of individuals.

If you have been to an event or activity recently, or otherwise benefited from the work of an APM volunteer I urge you now to look to the individuals who made it all possible and put them forward for this fantastic award”
