APM Project Fundamentals Qualification – online open exam option now available

Association for Project Management (APM) has developed a new route towards gaining its Project Fundamentals Qualification for those who wish to self-study or feel confident they have the skills needed to pass the exam without further training.  

From today, candidates can book and complete their online exam through APM at a time that suits them, without having to leave their home.  

The Project Fundamentals Qualification is an introductory exam covering the broad principles needed to make a positive contribution to any project and offers a fundamental awareness of project management terminology. 

To support candidates who wish to self-study, a study guide is available.  

Jo Connolly, APM’s head of service innovation, said: “Our new offering gives those who have built up knowledge over time or have studied a project-related academic qualification the opportunity to sit a qualification from the profession’s chartered body to recognise and reaffirm their knowledge.  

“The introduction of this new offering is all about bringing greater accessibility and choice to the profession to ensure that everyone can benefit from APM qualifications to develop themselves.  

“For those who need support and guidance, our Accredited Training Provider network remains an absolute firm port of call, as self-study or exam preparation can be unfamiliar territory and they will always be there to support candidates.”
