Association for Project Management (APM) is partnering with universities to host free events exclusively for its Student members. These events will bring employers closer to students and help them develop their careers and create professional connections.

Supported by APM’s branches, these events are part of a series hosted by universities around the country. APM Student members can attend an event in their APM Branch area for free. Events have already been confirmed in the following locations:

Each event consists of two parts: the first session is an open panel discussion with experienced practitioners, dedicated to employability skills. Students will have the opportunity to ask plenty and hear about the skills that are valued by companies from different parts of the profession. The second part of the event allows students to network with peers and professionals. Including representatives from the local APM Branch committee, some of whom will be APM Corporate Partners.

Natalie Keppler, Branches Manager at APM, said: “Partnering with Universities around the country means that we are supporting more of our Student members and helping them build their employability skills and professional networks. It’s important that we support their learning and development during these stages of their journey. These events are specifically targeted for students, and they’ll gain a lot from attending.”

Other upcoming events from this series include events supported by the Midlands Branch at Coventry University, Wednesday, 26 September and the South East Branch, University of Kent, Wednesday, 2 November. Please visit APM events for more information.

It’s free to join APM as a Student member. To find out how you can access these events and more resources, visit APM Student membership.

This is awesome! Thank you APM for this initiative. I look forward to such event happening in Nigerian universities.

I attended the APM Student networking in London, hosted by Anglia Ruskin University, Wednesday, 19 October. I personally found this to be very insightful and interesting session. Will a similar event be held in Manchester, perhaps later in November?
