On Thursday 12th October 2017, the Northern Ireland branch of APM held its 5th annual corporate lunch for local corporate members and additional invited guests.  Despite having only 5 dedicate corporate members, the lunch event enticed over 35 delegates (including committee) of which several were potential members of APM.

Gerry Coghlan welcomed the guests to the prestigious Titanic Building where they were both enthralled by the stunning view from the Bridge and entertained by Stephen Carver who gave a humorous presentation on failed projects aptly named “Going Down with the Ship”.  Austin Witney from the APM Partnership Team presented to the guests an update on the new partnership programme and the future of APM when Chartership has enveloped the organisation.
This was a great opportunity for local businesses to network with each other and for those non-members, the chance of gaining a better understanding of APM and how membership of APM can enhance their output and improve standards of their project management fraternity.   Several organisations showed a vested interest in APM membership, in particular, one of the very few HEIs in the province.
After a succulent meal and entertaining presentation, the guests were offered the opportunity of visiting the Titanic Museum and SS Nomadic which in itself were both challenging and very successful projects.
Both the branch Chair, Gerry Coghlan and Corporate Representative, Leslie Warren said that this was one of the most successful and productive corporate lunches and can only be the way forward in future corporate events within the province.
