Have you recently completed a project or programme with your company that you were especially proud of and would like to share your achievements?

APM Branch Young Project Professional competition is open to Project Managers and Portfolio Managers (aged 30 or below) who have recently completed a project or programme that showcases their project management skills and obtained a successful output (both working as a team, innovative steps and end results)

This competition will provide entrants with a great platform to share their successes with the Project Management community, whilst engaging with other fellow future project managers. 

Finalists will be asked to provide a report on their project, which will be judged by APM Judges and then present to their peers and family members at a special Branch Awards Event.  The winner will then represent their Branch in a Regional Final.

Who should enter?

APM Young Project Professional 2020 is open to all full-time Project Managers aged 30 or below. 

This competition welcomes Project Managers from a variety of sectors, including but not limited to

  • Law
  • Life Sciences
  • Financial Services
  • Space Industry
  • Aviation
  • Healthcare
  • Construction and many more!

How to get involved!

The APM judges are looking for the story behind the person who has delivered the greatest benefit to their clients, project teams and wider stakeholders.

The criteria for these categories puts a greater emphasis on the positive contribution the Project Manager made to the outputs and outcomes of their project(s), programme(s) and/or portfolio(s) whilst recognising the essential role that the project management techniques have in delivering success.

How will you be scored

Entrants will be scored across several different criterion, including the following;

  • Applicability or benefit to business and industry;
  • Lessons learned for future projects;
  • Innovations or overcoming challenges during project delivery
  • Statement of Support from company
  • Presentation to the Project Management community
  • Reference to APM Body of Knowledge and APM
  • Competency Framework

The Winner of the APM Branch Young Project Professional Awards will receive;
