The APM Project Management Awards 2018, sponsored by RPC UK Limited (RPCuk), recognise project and programme excellence and the high-achieving project professionals who manage them – from aspiring young project managers, to experienced project professionals managing complex projects and programmes both in the UK and overseas.

This year the APM Awards saw a record number of entries submitted, with an almost 40 per cent increase compared to 2017. We have also received the highest number of international entries since the Awards began.

The calibre of the applications was clear; due to the high quality of entries in the Overseas Project of the Year category there are no less than seven finalists. In addition, two of the three finalists for Project Professional of the Year are women, a positive change from previous years.

The top ten sectors to enter the Awards 2018 were:

  • Consultancy – 24%
  • Engineering – 17.7%
  • Defence – 7.6%
  • Energy – 7.0%
  • Finance – 6.3%
  • Government – 5.7%
  • Transport – 4.4%
  • Medical/Health – 3.8%
  • Education – 3.2%
  • Charity – 2.5%

There were also two new sectors entering for the first time: the food industry (Ella’s Kitchen) and Cinema (ODEON Cinemas Group), both of which are finalists in their chosen categories.

The prestigious Awards ceremony – a black tie evening event - will take place on Monday 26 November at Old Billingsgate, London. The event allows individuals and organisations to network with peers at the glamorous drinks reception, before enjoying a three-course dinner and toasting achievements with colleagues.

Prepare to celebrate with the winners as they are announced on the night, followed by an after-party with a professional DJ, by securing your tables now. A number of table packages are available to suit a variety of requirements.
