Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) is a professional Defence acquisition organisation operating as a bespoke trading entity, an arm’s length body of the Ministry of Defence, providing equipment and support for Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.

Our complex programme of work delivers battle winning capability for our customers and ranges from warships, aircraft and missiles through to armoured vehicles, utility trucks, body armour and filed kitchens.

Delivering a programme of work of over £10 billion annually, we have a passionate and talented workforce; employing a mixture of over 12,000 civilian and military individuals who are based in numerous locations across the United Kingdom, including our headquarters in Bristol, and overseas.

To achieve our goals, we recruit and develop people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines including from project management, engineering, information technology, finance, procurement, and logistics - all of whom play a vital role in delivering and maintaining military operational capability.

DE&S Project Delivery Apprenticeship

Project Delivery Apprentices are at the heart of our delivery. On this two year scheme you experience structured career development, gaining the technical and leadership skills, to shape the future of the organisation.

You’ll be provided with real experience in a large project delivery organisation which will enable you to development your skills and knowledge of project planning, scheduling, identifying and monitoring project risks, reporting, stakeholder management and much more.

You’ll also be provided with dedicated support as you work towards an Associate Project Manager Level 4 NVQ.

To apply you’ll need:

  • 5 GCSEs inc. English Language and Mathematics at grade C/4+ (or equivalent) and;
  • 2 A Levels at grade D+ (or equivalent).
