Welcome to the APM Thames Valley Network.

Who we are:

The Thames Valley Network aims to deliver a diverse and inclusive programme of activities aligned with the APM Strategy, inspiring volunteers to work together towards the overall APM vision.

We also engage with the local project management community in the Thames Valley region, including corporates and universities, to build a supportive network committed to sharing knowledge and best practice.

What we do:

We host an annual programme of events, both online and in-person, covering topics from construction best practices to risk management and the impact of emerging technologies like AI.

We also provide opportunities to network, build connections, pursue CPD and stay updated on the latest developments in project management within the Thames Valley Region.

How to get involved:

We invite everyone in the region to attend our events, connect with like-minded project professionals, gain insights into the latest practices and the lessons learned from key projects.

“Our aim is to foster a community where knowledge is shared and the profession is continually improved,” says network lead Bora Kusoglu. “This will, of course, align with the new focus areas of the overall APM strategy.”

Simply follow us to stay up to date with the latest regional news, announcements, and activity.

Mission

The mission of the Thames Valley Regional Network is to raise the profile of project management in the Thames Valley through:

  • the communication of project management theory and practice;
  • the promotion of the APM Body of Knowledge;
  • catering for the needs of the current and future project management community.

The Thames Valley Regional Network has an extensive programme of activities throughout the year organised on behalf of members by the Thames Valley Regional Network Volunteers.  We have a number of active work streams including: Events Planning; Corporate Liaison; Higher Education Institute Engagement and the annual PM Challenge competition.

Over the last five years, the Network has also been particularly successful in obtaining additional funding from APM to undertake a number of research projects, and we are always willing to listen to ideas and suggestions from our members.
