AI in the project profession

The project profession is one that specialises in making change a reality. So when the profession finds itself changing due to an emerging technology like Artifical Intelligence (AI), there are naturally questions about what the future will look like.

The recent shifts in the technological landscape have made it clear that AI is not a far-off future concept, but something that is already becoming part of everyday life. Many project practitioners already acknowledge that AI is impacting our profession. But far from causing alarm, the profession is embracing the change. In fact, nearly three quarters (74%) of respondents to a recent APM survey believe AI will have a positive impact on their sector*.

Preparation and due diligence are crucial to unlocking the full potential of AI as an engine for improving project outcomes. Association for Project Management (APM) has produced a series of case studies to help project, programme and portfolio professionals better understand the current impacts of AI and the journey towards adoption.
