Do you know anyone who, in achieving great success in their chosen field, has also done great things for the project management profession?

Although not a project professional themselves, has he or she been an advocate for project management or helped drive forward our profession in a significant way?

Perhaps they are in media, politics, education, sport, …well, anything really. The point is that they reached the pinnacles of success in their profession. They will also have used and supported highly-skilled project professionals. Perhaps the person you are thinking of is a sponsor/client/stakeholder? We want to recognise and reward these people, and at the same time highlight how excellent project management has facilitated success.

That’s why we’ve revamped the APM Honorary Fellow Award. It is now in line with the normally accepted meaning of ‘honorary’, i.e. awarded to someone outside a profession but who has made a significant contribution to it.

It’s a part of our strategy of promoting project management to the public, and working towards a world in which all projects succeed with project management as a life skill for all.

So, do you think you think you can make a compelling case for someone? If yes, please follow this link to view and explanatory video and download the nomination form here.

Nominations close on 24th June.
