Firstly, let me inform you that the APM board has approved a name change for our SIG and so, from now on, we will be known simply as the Assurance SIG. Watch out for the name change on the APM website.

Roy Millard (SIG Chair) has asked me to describe each of the Assurance SIG's work streams and what they are aiming to achieve. Over the coming weeks, I will detail each work stream in turn, starting with the Integrated Assurance work stream.

So far, the Integrated Assurance work stream has held a series of workshops to develop the guideline, and have already got an agreed product description for the guide, as well as much of its' draft content. Development of the guide is taking account the Government's Efficiency Reform Group's work in this area, coupled with input from private sector businesses such as Rolls Royce and SELEX Systems Integration Ltd. We are aiming to have the guide ready for issue later this year.

If you have any interesting examples of how organisations have achieved a more integrated approach to assurance, we would like to hear from you. Feel free to contact us directly or to post something in our forum.
