Carly Walters
Project Delivery Group Leader, Dstl (part of the Ministry of Defence)
Carly leads a group of over 150 project professionals at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), part of the Ministry of Defence.
Carly started her project management career 11 years ago, at the lowest grade within project management, and has steadily risen to become a senior project management leader within Dstl. During this time Carly has worked on a range of projects, from defence intelligence, to computer modelling, and vehicle armour protection. For the last 3 years, Carly has led project delivery groups up to 150 people, responsible for developing the project management capability within her Department and across the entire organisation.
Carly has a wealth of experience of being a working mum, navigating being part time and still progressing in her career.
Carly is passionate about developing and supporting project professionals, especially empowering women to fulfil their full potential.
Outside of work, Carly is a Governor for the local School Federation and enjoys reading and walks in the New Forest.
