APM support project management research into the management of projects through supporting individuals and organisations in launching new research concepts, being co-owners of the International Journal for Project Management, investing in research directly through its APM volunteer research fund and commissioning key research on behalf of the project management profession.

Improving the early-career experiences of racially diverse project professionals

This qualitative study explored the early-career experiences of racially diverse project professionals working in two prominent project management sectors – business and professional services.

The study produced evidence-based recommendations on how project-based organisations can better facilitate diverse project practitioners’ transition into the project management profession and meet their early-career needs.
